A sermon can be little more than a pep talk unless it leads to the personal discovery of God's glory and discussion over how that glory will impact you and your world. We at Redeemer believe that one of the best places for that discussion to happen is in Community Groups.
Community Groups are small gatherings of people that meet together on a regular basis in homes or at the Redeemer campus, they range in size and focus from gender specific groups to family groups and everything in-between. Some meet in the early morning and some groups meet in the evenings.

Community Group Kick-off Week begins January 3, 2010

Our group will be reading and discussing the book "Phillipians Run the Race" by Bill Hybels (the book is available for $6 in the bookstore). The goal is to deepen our thought process and enhance our relationship with Christ.

Dinner & Divine Discussion is a community group that is modeled on Acts 2:42: "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." The group will gather each Tuesday evening after work in order to share a meal together, spend time discussing the previous week's sermon, and the last hour will be devoted to viewing and discussing the TV show "Lost".

Both groups will meet at redeemer, Tommy and Kim will lead the high school group and Jim will lead the Jr. high group. The two groups will meet separately to study then get together for worship, food, and goofing around.

We are a group that is coming alongside what God is doing in the Airport Distric. We want to be catalysts for community development and discipleship to happen in that neighborhood. During our weekly meeting we try to further our education on outreach (specifically community development), plan for times to do things together in the neighborhood, and pray our our needs and the needs of the neighborhood. Please join us as we join God in caring for a forgotten pocket of our city.
